the marshall and wifeFour gen­er­a­tions ago, my Great-Great Grand­fa­ther was a County Mar­shall in Salem, Mis­souri .  As I’ve started chart­ing fam­ily his­tory again (about 20 yrs ago I was fas­ci­nated with this topic), it’s excit­ing to take in these old pic­tures which I’ve never seen before.  More then the pho­tos, I’m look­ing for­ward to the points when I can start fill­ing in col­ors with fact & sto­ries sur­round­ing these folks and oth­ers before/after them.  In putting together these pieces I hope to dis­cover more about how these peo­ple I never knew con­tributed to and lived on in the gen­er­a­tions ahead of them?

Thanks to a 1930 cen­sus doc I was able to find my grand­moth­ers child­hood home in St Louis.
